I'm not quite sure how summer flew by so fast, but it sure did. The month began with four straight days of shooting high school football portraits for our Pigskin Preview magazine (separate Pigskin Preview blog soon!) followed by football preseason practices, and finishing up with the first games of the fall season.

In the middle of the month, I took a solo trip to visit Montana for the first time and explore some sights like Glacier National Park and attend Travelers' Rest Festival, an amazing two days of music.

By the end of the month, all I could do was stare at my computer and take in every piece of news about Hurricane Harvey, which hit Southeast Texas and greatly affected my hometown and city. (More on that in my previous blog post.)

All of that to say that it was a busy, exciting, fullfilling month that became pretty nervewracking at the end thanks to Harvey. Looking forward to seeing what the last few months of the year will bring! Hopefully less hurricanes and more opportunities to grow and chase light.
